Workspace brings CoderDojo to Draperstown
July 17, 2015
The Workspace Group is offering young people from Draperstown and surrounding areas the opportunity to take part in CoderDojo, a computer programming club for young people. CoderDojo helps young people aged 7-17 learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and explore technology in an informal and creative environment. Participants will learn to work together as well as on their own to develop projects and presentations with the support of trained mentors.
Adele McIvor, Corporate Services Manager for The Workspace Group, states “We understand that computer programming and coding are becoming increasingly popular and we want to ensure that young people from our local community do not miss out on the opportunity to take part in clubs such as CoderDojo.”
The first CoderDojo Draperstown programme which will show young people how to build their own website takes place in unit B1 in Workspace’s Business Park on the Tobermore Road, Draperstown from 10am-12pm every Thursday from 30th July to 27th August inclusive. Participation on this programme is free.
Bring a computer and some curiosity!
