Workspace Community Hub
In June 2022, following community consultation, we opened the Workspace Community Hub.
Since its opening, the Hub, has become a focal point in the local community, enabling events to take place which have raised awareness of local services and helped to improve the health and well-being of the community.
The Hub has made it possible for us to provide a number of social inclusion activities in the spring of 2022 with classes in flower arranging, sewing and poetry.
It also resulted in the introduction of our Warm Welcome Wednesdays, providing a free ‘warm space’ for residents to meet up, socialise, take part in arts and craft activities while enjoying a cuppa.
The Hub has proven to be a fantastic resource for the local community and caters for all ages across a range of courses and activities including: yoga, meditation classes, pilates, baby yoga, dance classes and a meeting space for local voluntary groups.
The local business community, schools and government departments also make use of the Hub for meetings, training and team building days and information sessions.
The Hub is also home of Ballinascreen Historical Society and has provided them with not only an office and meeting space but a location to hold their monthly historical talks, which sees up to 60 attendees at each talk.
If you are interested in booking the Community Hub please contact Workspace on 028 7962 8113 or email info@theworkspacegroup.org to check availability.
